I've just booked mine. I never had it last year, when I was pregnant. The only people that did were my mum and sister. Over Xmas, my dad, oh, my son and I all contracted swine flu. It was horrible. It led to bronchitis and being asthmati.c I was so scared! Mum and sister were fine and obviousy never caught it.

So yes, I will be having it this year.

I managed to avoid it for 5 years, even in 2009 when I was preggy with my DD and the H1N1 was about, until last week when my OB got me at my visit. Grr! They normally make me feel like total shit, but this time wasn't bad apart from an achy arm (normal)

They are really urging me to get it for my DD this year as we've had a year of breathing problems with her, so although I don't really like it, I think she'll get it too this time.

My dad is a diabetic and gets it every year. The girls had their swine flu injection but now its combined.

I'd definitely get it if I were offered it.

Get it for you both.

When my MW offered it I said "I'll think about it" and decided against it on the 30th of December I was at my Docs for thrush and she asked if I'd had it. And purswaded me that I should discuss with DH and strongly recommended I get it but didn't want to give me it just before a 4 day holiday weekend so I said I'd get my MW to give me it on the 7th I took ill on the 6th never recognisied it thought I was getting better and was admitted to intensive care on the 11th.

I have no history of astham or any respirotory disorders I don't and never have smoked. Infact I was told my general fitness and active lifestyle are probably what helped my body to fight it.

When I think about it I think of how lucky I am. How lucky my LO is. How is that other girls family coping with her little baby who's growing up without her mummy the what if's just don't bare thinking about.

I got swine flu last year and it was not pleasant. If you are in a high risk group I would get it (I get the flu every year unless I get the jab). Also if you are at risk of passing it on to anyone that has other illnesses eg a teacher, doctor, parent of a child that has health issues

Anyway, yes, I'd get it. I can't get the flu jab as I'm allergic to eggs and the jab is egg based
Really? Thats tickled me, aha, i may just eat LOTS of Eggs come Winter and hope for the best

I will have it though, i have respritory problems and would rather be safe than sorry.
