Twlight Film (possible spoilers so don't read if you're looking forward to it!)

Has anyone seen this? I've read two parody's which sort of go along the lines of;

*The main girl is too perfect with no flaws.
*The main guy is being mean to her (so obviously in love with her)
*He confesses his love and takes her to meet his family.
*Which then play Vampire Baseball
*Ends up in the main girl having to run for her life because her blood is 'impossibly irresistible'
*Finishes with the girl giving up -everything- and being completely submissive, wanting the Vampire to make her one so they can stay together forever.

Go Female Independance...

I was just wondering if it's as bad as everyone's making it out to be? ^^ xx

I have heard and read some info online that this move and series of books is actually Mormon propaganda. The author is a devout mormon who went to BYU and is now a SAHM who writes.

Interesting to say the least!

I saw the movie and I thought it was quite good actually. A little slow in some spots but characters needed to be developed. It was very much like the book.

I'm reading the series now. I'm on the fourth book. These are books that are written for a younger teenage crowd. But I think they are decent. The movie is low-budget and alot of things are different in the movie from the book. Mostly small details that showed more of the connection between the two main characters. Which you can never expect a movie to be as good as the book anyways..The second movie is supposed to have alot higher of a budget with a completely different director because there were problems throughout the entire filming process of Twilight with that director. The second book was better than the first anyways so we'll see how it turns out.

I don't think the author being Mormon really has anything to do with the writing of the book. She just stresses the importance of sex after marriage and not before. Which when the books are mostly read by 14 year olds, I think this is a good thing...

I absolutely LOVED the books..actually was obsessed with them..read them all in like a week! HATED the movie! I've tried watching it a few times to see if I could force myself to like it but just couldn't!! It was soooo choppy, like they just put in all the main parts, smucked them together with some TERRIBLE acting and bam that was it!
I have read online that they are considering new cast for the second movie because the acting was SO terrible in the first!

What woman isn't in love with Edward? The man is intense and strong in every way. I think they picked good with the actor Robert Pattinson to play Edward. Robert is good with the whole intense look in his eyes. Even though he isn't all that good of an actor.

It's so neat to hear everyone's opinions on the movie vs the book because I have found it's either you LOVED the movie or HATED it!
