Biornuate Uterus

Hello Ladies! I know there's already another thread about bicornuate uterus but I thought I would make one for those of us with BU to share our experiences and offer support.

A lil about me:

My name is Lacey (obviously) and I'm currently 12w2d pregnant! I've previously had mc at 8 weeks about 3 years ago. When I was almost 6 weeks with this current pregnancy I started bleeding and went to the ER where they did an ultrasound and diagnosed me with having a bicornuate uterus. Luckily the baby has implanted in the right side and the bleeding was coming from the right side and the baby had a healthy heartbeat. The dr. told me of all the possible complications that come with BU, higher chance of MC, premature labor, needing a C-Section, ect. The bleeding continued but not as heavily for about 5-6 days.

Of course I did what every worrying mommy-to-be shouldn't do and Googled it! Big no no!

Anyway, anyone else have a BU and care to comment? I'd especially love to hear success stories!

Dime do you mean you have had no symptoms because of your Bicorn Ute?

I would not worry to much, i know someone that carried twins with a bicorn ute

I also have one and even after 5 mc I don't think my bu was to blame

You could have a breech baby or might go into labour early so there is a worry there, ask for a cervix check at 14w to see if your cervix are holding up ok

Xxx

Thanks so much....
I meant no symptoms such as weird cycles etc which I read can be early indicators of a bicornal ute, nor have I had any problems with the pregnancy so far, but i realise its only days. I really shouldn't have googled it, I suppose if there was any cause for concern the doctor would have told me, I'm sure.
