Not sure what to call this. I'm extremely anxious :( - Cross posted from 1st tri

If this is in the wrong place sorry. Didnt know where it would fit.

Sooo I've looked into this quite a bit and I'm pretty much certain that this is what's happening with me. Does anyone know of any actual cases of women being unable to carry a certain gender to full term?

With my first, what came out through my mc was taken to the hospital and checked after I'd been checked to make sure everything was out. I was told that baby was probably a boy. I've then gone on to have two more boys. Cameron who was born through induction at 25 weeks as my waters had gone at 23 and had slowly run out over those two weeks. Doctors did nothing to help him and I was told my waters probably went due to bv and that the likelihood of it happening again was extremely small.

Next came Deacon. Labour started at 21 weeks and doctors managed to stop it. I'd been bleeding since 6 weeks so clearly that pregnancy was going to be hard from the start. Anyway I was kept in hospital and went into labour a couple more times and they stopped it. I was put on progesterone pessaries and clexane at 22 weeks and my waters went at 23+6. Now Deacon was quite strong and was born alive within mins of my waters going so I think he survived purely due to the fact he was born at the same time my waters went. He died because he was so premature but he did fight and we got a few weeks with him

I don't actually have a clotting disorder. Hollie was born between Cameron and Deacon and although she was stillborn, for the moment I'm putting that down to an infection as she was a girl. I had no medication at all through her pregnancy and things were going fine. No bleeding. Nothing.

The reason I'm thinking I have a problem with boys is because my granny on my mums side had four girls, mc two boys. My aunts on my mums side, one had two girls, another had hysterectomy due to severe endometriosis and the third mc 6 boys never got pregnant with a girl. My mum had two girls and mc a boy so it seems to be prevalent on my mums side of the family.

Because I have no clotting disorder, no cervical length issues, no weird shaped uterus, nothing that either I or the consultants can say is the reason for my issues I'm certain my body has picked up some funky gene from someone on my mums side and works from conception to get rid of my children if it sniffs out a y chromosome.

If this is the case then I know no amount of medication will help. A stitch would be pointless as the waters would still leak and as I was told Cameron suffocated due to lack of fluids I can't go through that crap again. I want to find out asap what sex this baby is and if I have to beg and badger the doctors to take me seriously I will.

I know. I just know that of this baby is a boy I will either go into labour around 22 weeks and he will die or my waters will go around that time and he'll be stillborn around 24 weeks. I can't shake this gut feeling I have. If it's a girl then I know this pregnancy will be ok. The docs will say it's because of the baby aspirin, fragmin and cyclogest but it'll be because the baby is a girl. She may be slightly premature but will live.

I just have a really strong feeling about the future. However I'm convinced this baby is a boy because well I just know because I desperately want it to be a girl it won't be.

Anyway does anyone have any thoughts on this? Sorry for the long post and repost about my crappy history I just want opinions on this.

Thanks everyone xx

Sorry this is so rambled. I'm terrified of having another boy cos I just know in my gut that he'll die

I've had no bleeding so far but am on cyclogest pessaries twice a day and apparently progesterone can hide bleeding?! I'm also on 75mg of aspirin and was on fragmin too all since 6 weeks.

I had a scan on 26th July though which showed an active bleed around the placenta so for the moment I've been told to stop the fragmin until my next scan on 9th when they can see if it's stopped or become worse.

I was tested for lupus anticoagulant after I had deacon which was negative and also antiphospholipid syndrome. During deacons pregnancy cervical length and funnelling were checked. Also no problems hence this time round they're saying a stitch wouldn't really help :/

Arggggh all I want is a normal boring pregnancy. Just one child I can bring home. I'm not greedy. Sigh. I hate pregnancy :'(

Umm basically history in short or as short as poss (sorry I'm a rambler lol)

Had mc at 12 weeks. Had had a scan 3 days before which showed everything was fine but then I woke up cramping and bleeding extremely heavily. Went to hops with what I'd passed. Docs had a look at it and from what they could tell were no problems with baby and thought it was a boy.

Cameron was a perfect pregnancy. So perfect that didn't find out until 18 weeks. I'd had bad headaches and doctor actually thought I had glandular fever. Waters partially went at 23 weeks so I was kept in hospital but no medication given. Fluids were at 3% the day before he died so I was told then that he wouldn't survive unless they managed to trailing my fluids or do a csection which they wouldn't as I was only 24+6

Holly was absolutely a breeze pregnancy. No bleeding. Perfect scans, no medications. My waters just went completely at 30 weeks and when I got to hospital no hb was found so I was induced. Consultant thought it may have been a vaginal or uterine infection.

Then deacons pregnancy was awful. Extremely heavy bleeding with clots from 6 weeks. Was admitted to hospital at 21+3 in what they thought was labour. They stopped it though. Was started on clexane shots and progesterone at 22=3/4 and it seemed to be working but then I woke up in labour at 23+6 and my waters went completely and he was born breech within 15 mins. He was alive and breathing on his own but we lost him in nicu a few weeks later.

Sorry that's so long again. Just want to give as much info as poss.

Thanks xx

Have they checked your waters at all hun? First I want to say how sorry I am for your losses. I highly doubt a condition like bacterial vaginosis and or a uterine infection would cause mishaps in pregnancy causing wAter to break that many times in subsequent pregnancies. You have been checked for those clotting disorders which are negative and a good sign. Did dr at least check placenta? To test for abnormalities or infection?

I can't give any advice, but couldn't read and not write anything - I hope that you find an answer that gives you a healthy pregnancy and baby. My gosh, what you've been through, poor girl xxx

I'm really sorry I don't have an answer to your original question, but could you get the CVS testing done? That will tell you if baby has any chromosomal or many genetic disorders in addition to being able to tell you the sex and is done around the time you are now I believe. I have not had it done, but looked into it and amnio as I was told LO may have ds and remember seeing that CVS was much earlier than amnio. Maybe something to ask your doctor about?
