Extra Lobe On Placenta

When I went for my 18 week scan, it was found that my placenta has an extra lobe. So instead of having either a posterior or anterior placenta, I have both.

According to my OB, it's not affecting the baby at all and he's being well nourished. Has anyone else had this condition?

Yes, I had an extra lobe on my placenta in my third pregnancy. It was blocking babys way out so they kept an eye on me to make sure that everything moved out of the way.
It doesn't harm the baby at all, but if it is covering the os, you will need a c-section.
