C-section Vs Vaginal

I came across an article and I have no idea what to think.

I am 24+4wks and I have a shortening cervix and have been put on bed rest.
Apparently having a c-section for premature babies is better in terms of their health than a vaginal labour.

I was thinking maybe if I am before 32wks (which I'm expected not to pass) then I would have a c-section. And anything after 32 than I would deliver vaginally.

I don't know if it's true and would like a little insight. Because I am thinking about my birth plan. Get that out the way - something to keep me occupied as bed rest is sooo boring.

I did read a study that did say that there was no reall difference between the two, but the results differed slightly. More neuro-developmental issues for vaginal births. But this difference was only a couple babies.

For really prem births it is better to have a c section as it doesn't put as much stress on the baby and alot quicker which means they can help often natural births put alot more strain on a prem baby and they have more complications after the birth than a baby delivered by c section... Good luck I will be thinking of you I had a baby at 31+3 weeks and it is the worst thing ever and I wouldn't wish it on anyone but just to ease your mind she is now almost 4 and as healthy as anything xxxx ps I had her by c section. Hope this helps
