Had GD last time will I get it again?

As it says really, how likely am I to get it again? It was diagnosed very late last time so didn't really affectme much but I'm worried about managing diet etc as I'm a chocoholic!

Thanks for your reply. To be honest as much as I don't want it for the sake of my baby and as tough as it will be, if I have it, it could be the excuse I need to finally start eating healthy.

Something needs to give me that kick and my will power is 0!

I had it last time and sadly have it again, its really hard the going off chocolate thing as i'd live off the stuff if i could lol. I heard there was a 2/3 chance of having it in subsequent pregnancies, so theres always a chance you will avoid it

My two are only 12 months apart and I had GD last time, though very mild. I just assumed I'd have it this time around, but I am SO happy to say that I DON'T!! Don't give up hope!!

I had GD at 25 weeks with my last pregnancy and this pregnancy it came back right away at 6 weeks! Makes me wonder if I was already diabetic before getting pregnant!...

This was me also, i found out at 6 weeks this time, and i developed it around 19 weeks last time, though it hasn't gotten any worse throughout my current pregnancy so i'm hoping it was the sudden change in hormones which triggered it again this time, don't give up hope! x
