I'm so glad to have come across this thread! Having had a relatively 'easy' preganancy so far these last few days have been awful - I'm 38 weeks today so hopefully not too much longer.
I have been going crazy for the past week with PUPPP. Rash started on my bump and then spread to my ankles, feet, calves and lower arms.
The hospital tested me for Cholestasis but it isn't that. Have been on the internet and after the worst night ever (scratched my legs so much that they were bleeding!) have been out and bought some new stuff to try:
Coal Tar soap (not found pine tar in UK)
Aveeno oatmeal moisturiser
Not sure whether any will work but it has to be worth a try to stop myself going completely mad. Aloe Vera, E45 and the Piriton tablets from the hospital don't seem to help at all.
I have complete sympathy with all of you - it's hard not to moan about the untold 'joys' of being pregnant!!!
Hope you get some respite from the itching soon!
I know what you mean! Up until about 33 weeks, my pregnancy had been pretty easy! Then the itching started, then they started to find protein in my urine, then I had a fall down a flight of stairs and had to go hospital to be monitered blah blah.
It's truly the worst kind of itch ive ever experienced in my life!! Only saving grace is that it DOES go away haha.
