Blood glucose levels

Is it really that horrible to every now and then have a high reading for my blood sugar level? I am trying hard to keep up with the GD diet, which in general I am doing pretty well with it. But once in awhile, I'd say maybe one or two readings a week, will be high. Is that really bad?

I keep beating myself up over it, although I know I can't really control it. I am trying my hardest to eat properly. I just want to know if I'm doing severe damage by having a high reading. My Dr knows how my numbers are, and they said they are fine and not putting me on insulin unless they are always trending high. So I don't know.

I can't answer your question directly, but my advice to you would be to try to keep track of what you've eaten before the sugar spikes to see if specific things trigger high blood sugar, then steer clear of them if you can. My uneducated perspective is that a couple of one-offs shouldn't make a big difference, but try to control it as much as you can. Hopefully once you've given birth all will be back to normal :-)

If its only one or two highs a week thats great. A few highs won't cause severe damage so please stop beating yourself up about it. You're doing great.
