Hi there, little introduction

Hi Everyone,

Just a little about me,

My partner and I have been TTC for the last year, after giving up the pill as I was on it for 12 years. We have been together for 10 years,

and feel at this point in our lives we are both ready for children. He's 31 and I am 30. I thought I would see if my body would go back to normal. Last year a couple of months before Christmas everything seemed to be going back to normal after a year of cycles that were all over the place since coming off the pill.

Little to our knowledge we conceived just before Christmas whilst buying a new car (and totally forgot about TTC!) I'd had some symptoms that I dismissed as regular monthly symptoms, fatigue, eating more, mood swings and needing to use the bathroom more often, and extremely sore boobs. I did not test until the 2nd day I was late.. and this is coming from a woman who has read about every pregnancy sign and symptom! then I started to think...

I got positives on both tests I did, a digital and a basic home pregnancy test. Made an appointment at the dr and found out due date, etc. Told close friends and family, as we only found out I was about 5 weeks..

On the 10/1 I had some bleeding and it got heavier the next day. Went back to the dr for scans and blood tests, which confirmed that I had lost our little angel.

We haven't really been trying again, but haven't really been preventing it either. We feel we are both ready again to conceive. Our first pregnancy though sad, gave me hope that we can get pregnant, and that's what we hang onto.

I enjoy reading, crafts, writing, and caring for animals. I am already an animal mum to a dog, a bird and a few fish.
