Hypnobirthing experiances

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had tried hypnobirthing and if it helped them giving birth?

I'm considering taking a class in hypnobirthing, but it's nearly £300. I don't want to spend that money if it's a load of

woah 300 smackers sounds like a lot- i've heard its good but might b cheaper to see if there are n e books on it instead x

I did hypnobirthing this time. I positively enjoyed the first 20 hours of labour using it. The last two I was out of control, it was very fast! But nothing helps with that sort if thing anyway, you just have to live it and let your body do its thing. I also found the hypno really helped with relaxation and getting to sleep in pregnancy. There us s home study course for about £30. Pop by the home and natural birthing section. There us a thread in there somewhere about the course and loads about using hypno.

My labour happened way too fast for my hypnobirthing lessons to help! There was zero time to get in the "zone"! I went from 1cm dilated to 9 cm in an hour and gave birth within 4 hours of arriving at the hospital. My contractions had no inbetween relief period so there was no down time for me to regain my focus. So for us, it was $400 down the drain, but I believe that it can be useful if you have a more gradual labour!
