Inverness Hospital

Does anyone have any experience with Raigmore Hospital in Inverness? Only a month to go for me and am starting to wonder what its all going to be like.

That is where I will be giving birth and am wondering if you choose not to breast feed do they give you formula or do you need to provide your own?

Thank you!

Haven't been to Raigmore, I had my little girl last month in Elgin. I breast fed for the first few days then had to change to formula and they provided little bottles and teats for me every time I needed to feed. I'm not sure if it would be the same at Inverness or not?!

Sorry I couldn't be of anymore help!

Good luck when the time comes!! x x

hi hun i had my son there and you need to take your own milk if not bf as far as i can remember and to be honest i didnt have a very high opinion of the hospital the staff arent exactly the nicest of staff but i ahd my son in 2009 so things could of change abit by now. when i was in i told by lasses in there that had been in before with their previously pregnancy that it was the worse hospital but obviouisly thats their opinions. they are very helpful with the little ones etc though has when i had my son they brought the breast pump to me etc and woke me in the night to express along with a cuppa lol and was nice that way. xxx where bouts in inverness are you i lived in alness

Hi!

I gave birth by emergancy section in 2008 at Raigmore.
First baby and was full of negatives but positives too..
They provided little formula bottles and breast pumps.

I found them a little slap dash and some times pushy so stand your ground and know what you want.

Have been in just about every dpt of raigmore for d&c after miscarraige, childrens ward, labour suit, high dependancy & SCBU and all in all hasnt put me off going back (just!)

Good luck with everything
