Tabathavm~ Had my baby boy!

I had my baby Friday 13th @ 2:44 pm!
On Thursday I had my last ob appt. and I was 4cm!. I has already having contractions although not painful and not regular, so I guess I can say I did go into labor by myself lol. I was already scheduled for induction the next day Fri. So anyway, I arrived at the hospital @ 6am. I was still 4cm and I was 80% effaced, -2 station. 6:45am Iv line was started with fluid. 7:30am Pitocin was started at 2. 7:55 am pitocin was increased to 4. 8:16 am Pitocin was increased to 6. 8:40am Pitocin was increased to 8. 9am midwife came and broke my water. When she broke it i was soooo surprised at the amount of water coming out, so was she. It gushed big time about 5-6 times! Not to mention the small ones as well, she had to hole her fingers up in my cervix to keep the cord from coming out first. After all the water was out she said that i had polyhydraminos. SO that explains why my bump was so HUGE lol. After my water broke my contractions instantly got stronger and more regular. Around 9:30 i wanted an epidural. But the epi guy had 2 more patients in from of me, so i got a shot of Fentanyl (sp?) to help me out till he came. I wanted to go natural but with only having 2 hours sleep night b4 i was sooo exhausted and needed strength to be able to push him out. Finally around 10am I got my epidural. I felt so much better. My blood pressure had dropped to 54/68 so they gave me a shot in the iv line to raise it. 11am I was at 8 1/2 cm. From here on I was just waiting for the urge to push. I was still feeling some pain not very much, I had a trigger so I can give myself a boos of the epi if I needed it. I noticed that the epi had worked really good on my right side but not so good on the left side. I could still move my left leg and feel alot of pressure in my rectum area. It was a weird feeling, my right leg felt really warm and swollen but not my left leg. I also started running a low fever. So they gave me tylenol. Which helped. So, when i started feeling more pressure in my bottom I called the midwife and she came it and checked me and said I was a 10. And told me to push few good times to see how far baby came down. So I did and she said I was a champion pusher LOL and said that when I push baby come down to 0 station. So she said Ok, when you feel contractions you can push. So I did, and baby's heart rate started dropping and then eventually dropped off the monitor. I kept pushing and the midwife said he is facing up and trying to turn his head. I remember the midwife paging nicu, the dr. and several other ppl. At one point she stuck an internal monitor on his head but never got to plug in it because I pushed him out. They put him on my belly and it was pure bliss! I love him soooo much!! After he was out, midwife said that I had a 2 degree tear and also a sidewall tear that was really deep. It took a long time to sew me up. She couldn't control the bleeding at first but then after alot of stitches it got under control. My husband said I lost alot of blood. I remember the midwife checking me inside and saying she was massaging to get the clots out and I swear it felt like I was gushing clots/blood everytime she took her fingers out. Anyway, the EBL (estimated blood loss) was 350. They say hemorrhaging is 500. He came out perfect and crying and didn't need any help, or the nicu or anyone. He had no problems. They was no meconium. I pushed for 11 mins. He weighed 8lbs 10 oz. 21 inches long.
He nurses so good, and is such a good baby!
