Last time when i was crowning the MW told me i was going to feel horrendous burning and to keep pushing through it but i was wondering what the hell she was going on about because i never even noticed that the pain got any worse, am hoping i escape it this time too, hehe!

To be honest, everyone i have ever known and everything i have ever read has said it is normally a lot less than a minute of really intense burning pain. Lots of people only take 10 minutes during the whole pushing phase so i find it a bit far fetched that 10 minutes is the average just for the 'ring of fire'!

I honestly had no pain when pushing out my boy, only that of the contraction (which I pushed away anyway) I had a 2nd degree tear + graze too!

I imagine nerve block injections would hurt (they do at the dentisit!) so I wouldn't fancy one myself unless it was needed!
