Those who had a water birth

What did you wear in the birthing pool?

I'm thinking a bikini or just a tshirt and knickers

Mine wasn't planned. I was too far gone for anything else and the pool was free so I got in in my bra

I am gonna take a vest top or something this time (which I need to get a move on and buy!)

Wouldn't bother with knickers.

xx

Although i didnt birth in the pool in the end I got transfered to hospital gah!

Dont bother with a t-shirt you dont want to have to try and take off a wet t-shirt to get skin to skin and breastfeed

Nothing here, which was a real surprise to me. I didn't expect to be so comfortable stripping off! This time, I might possibly try a loose vest top. I don't know if it will stay on long though!

I bought a tankini from mothercare to use last time. As I ended up being induced I never used it I still have it and have used it once or twice for swimming. Planning of using it again. Pretty easy to take off

I wore one of DH's giant TShirts as I'm not comfortable with showing a lot of flesh. Was ideal, as they could still see what they needed to see and I was able to easily change with the midwives help after baby was born.
