I second the idea of writing up a birth plan and saying not to offer pain medication. I would even put on there not to give it to you unless you ask for it for so long. As far as "caving" not everyone does. I went into my second labor fully intending to have an epidural and then turned it down because it just wasn't that bad. I did have another drug in my IV, though. | |

Gotta say, I love my hospital, they have you turn in a birth plan then put it into their computer system so no matter what department I am in the MW's can access it
