What to wear in labour? - Page 2

I went into hospital and had a bath within a couple of hours then after the bath (6hrs before she was born) I just wandered round in nothing but my dressing gown. When I gave birth I was totally starkers and just didnt give a sh*t. I'm normally really shy about stuff like that but I was totally out of it as I hadnt slept for almost 48hrs and had farted in OHs face during a contraction (not on purpose!) so after that I didn't think I could be more embarassed lol x

I packed a big nighty but I was that hot I ended up in nothing but a bra. My mum and OH kept trying to put a sheet over me but I dident care

I started off with my jeans half way down my thighs as I was in too much pain to get undressed. I then waited for my tiny gap in-between contractions to take off all my clothes, shouted at my husband to get my nightie and then battled with it! (lol) and then my waters were broken which soaked me so I changed into a hospital gown, which I then threw off because I was too hot and then another one was put on me which I (tmi) poo'd on whilst pushing....and then ANOTHER hospital nightie was put on me!

They gave me a gown but I took everything off when labor got intense. It was too hot.

i was very naked lol
after they broke my waters the pain got a zillion times worse and i tried all the pain relief possible before getting an epidural (shower, birthing ball in the shower, bath...).
i just stayed naked then, clothes felt so uncomfortable

i put on clothes few hours after giving birth

When I arived at the Hospital i was wearing jogging bottoms and a. Shirth, as soon As i was in the birthing room they ran me a bath and I stripped off, due to Placenta problems after the birth i didnt get dressed till the next day!

So yeah totally naked, I will be doing the same this time too.

With jaymee I wore everyday clothes til I git to the hospital at which point I was made to wear a hospital gown. I didn't care it worked for me.
With kat I got to the hospital fully ready to push I gave birth in fobs shirt which he threw on me after my shower to get me to the hospital. He gave me the shirt after lol

With my son, I got two short nighties from matalan that had buttons down the front, they were a perfect length that the midwife got easy access but i still kept some of my dignity (sounds silly).

With my daughter i just had on a strap PJ top.

I suggest something that is 100% cotton so it's soft and stretchy but try and get loose fitting so if you get too hot, its not clinging to you and you can take it off easy xx
