Midwife appointment today

I'm 34 weeks today and during my appointment I asked the midwife if she could tell if the baby would be big or not, and she said that he's defintly not small and is quite chunky. I was just wondering if anyone has had this before and the midwife has been wrong? And also what are people's experiences with giving birth to larger baby's? Thanks

My consultant and midwife said my baby would be big, and estimated about 9.5lb. He was 8lb 6oz.

My baby was to be a whopper apparently. I even had a growth scan and was told I was looking at least 9lb-er...!

7lb 3oz was a pleasant surprise ;-))

I had a massive 8lb baby at 37 weeks and predicted weight of 9-10lbs at birth. He was born via EMC at 39 weeks weighing a humungous 7lbs 2oz

I was told my daughter would be 11lbs!!!!!!!! I cried for 3 days straight at the thought of blowing that out of my bits

She was born 2 days later (38 weeks) Weighing 7lb 110z! and torpedo shaped!

She had the daintiest little head, longest body and no fat on her .... So yes they get it totally wrong sometimes! Labour was only recorded as 45 minutes too

my mw over estimated both babies. Amelie was 6lb4 and she reckoned 7lbs. With roman when I was due date, she reckoned 8lbs and he was 7lb15 at 9 days over.
