Do piles/tears get worse after labour?

So a question, I also posted in the C-section thread incase I have one but if not I was a bit worried of how much the piles and anal tear I have are going to be affected by pushing this baby out vaginally

It scares me to bits, the tear is already so big and painful it hurts to walk or even sit and I have two piles which are manageable right now but I fear the pushing and strain of delivery will increase the piles and make the tear unbearable. how will I be able to look after my LO with my butt on fire literally from excruciating pain???

Do they die down after birth or are they there to stay?
please help, I know I may need to have the tear surgically removed anyway but I was thinking vaginal birth may make them ten times worse

i never had a tear before birth but got one during my first birth. I do have 1 pile and I think once you have it, thats it. It comes and goes.

I would ask your OB/MW about it.
