My period was a week late so on monday i took a Clearblue digital test that said 'Pregnant 1-2 weeks'. Early hours tuesday morning i started bleeding and having cramps, both got worse during the day. This morning at 3am i woke up covered in blood, went to the toilet where i passed some clots and some other strange looking tissue, still bleeding heavily, cramps are a little milder than there were atm. My friends and partner are on at me to see a doctor. Is there really any point?
I would most definitely give your Dr. a call no matter what and let them know what happened. Even if you can't save it and it has happened completely, they will eventually want to see you to make sure everything is ok and all the tissue passed. Sometimes if not all of the tissue is expelled it can cause an infection and affect future fertility. Not to mention, seeing the Dr. and getting finality on the matter usually offers some peace of mind.
I am so sorry for you loss, I know how hard it is!
I just wanted to agree with the previous posters. I passed a lot of tissue on Sunday and thought I didn't need to see a doctor, but I called the after-hours nurse and she told me to contact my ob when their office opened. Your ob will probably want to monitor your hcg levels until they return to non-pregnant levels. I've also had an ultrasound to see if everything's passed. I feel much better knowing that someone's monitoring it--you will, too.
Yesterday all day the pain wasn't so bad, i was still bleeding but not as much. Then last night it all started up again, horrendous pain and bleeding heavily. Is that normal?
How far along were you? I can't really answer your question be ause I was only 4/5 weeks ... I started bleeding like a heavy period Friday, and it stopped today ... I didn't have cramping the last 2 days of bleeding ... Just try not to worry and you'll have your questions answered when you see the doctor ... Xxx
Yes i went to see my doctor and all she said was to wait it out at home unless the pain and bleeding get severe and then go to hospital to the early Pregnancy Unit. Now i'm worried that not all of it will come out.
