For those of you who bd right after a mc and became pregnant

For the women who have conceived right away after a mc, was your doctor upset with you after he/she told you to wait before ttc again?
I am worried that if I end up pregnant again and have another mc i'll get the "I told you so" lecture and attitude and maybe less quality of care since I didn't "follow" his directions .

I don't think a gp would ever do that! But if they did I would change my Dr.

I got pregnat three times after a m/c two were succescul and one ended in another m/c.

But in saying that, some people don't o after a m/c.
Hugs and good luck

Hello eprncess. I'm pregnant this time striaght after a miscarriage. I must have got pregnant while I was still on sick leave! We had been trying for so long (about 18 months) that I really didn't even think I would get pregnant.

My doctor wasn't exactly thrilled - but he is an idiot anyway - but when I saw the midwife she was absolutley lovely. Good luck

They could never say "I told you so" - that would be totally unprofessional. Unless they told you your life was at risk and you went ahead and got pregnant anyway, that would be another matter, but they say to wait until you've had a full menstrual period only so that a) they can say when you conceived and b) you have the correct womb lining in order to sustain a pregnancy.

I am trying after a MC and i have been advised to wait 3 cycles by a consultant, 1 cycle by my Dr. I'm sure if i got PG now if my consultant said 'i told you so' i'd be changing to soemone else, however i'm also sure no-on would ever say that, as CS says its totally unprofessional. xxx

Hi, I miscarried twins in 5eptember of 07, I became pregnant with my daughter before I ever even got a period. My due date for the twins was April 17th 08 and my daughter was born June of 08. My doctor had adviced me to wait atleast 6 months but before I could even start birth control I got pregnant. My doctor never said a word about it. She treated me as she always had. If your doctor doesn't give you the appropriate care you deserve it simply means you find a different doctor because that one was not for you. Your body knows when it is ready. Good luck and hoping you a BFP whenever your ready!

Thank you to everyone for your responses. You are all right, if my doc treats me that way I need to find another doc.

The cosultant at the hospital said there is no reason we could not start trying again straight away but she said that we may want to wait until I had one "normal" cycle for dating purposes only! She was so sweet though and wished us all the best for our future.

If they give u phrases like that, id complain about them being insensitive and change my Dr. I had to see a different gp to get my pregnancy confirmed and then m/c follow up as mine wasnt available and he can forget me going back to him. They shouldnt give u anything rude and should just support you as normal. If they dont, put in a complaint and change doctors.
