Expecting to miscarry :(

Hi all.
I'm still pregnant, not even bleeding yet so I hope it's not wrong for me to post in this section.

But I know I'm losing my little beany.

I found out I was pregnant on 12 dpo, there was a light line on the IC. Two days later (14 dpo - 4 weeks) the line was a bit darker. But it should be more as the ICs brand detects 10 mIU/ml. I tested again the next day and the line was about the same. CB (not digital) had a nice + though. I tested again today, two days later (17 dpo, 4+3 wks). The line was barely visible, about the same as on 12 dpo. And CB digi showed 1-2 weeks. So I have zero hope that this pregnancy is viable.
I'm so sad. I didn't say anything to OH yet. I'm just waiting to start bleeding. I only hope that it's not ectopic and that it will clear on its own as it's still so early.

I already lost one before, at 6+2 weeks. I'm still thinking about that one, even though I got pregnant again right away with my second son.
It was hard for us to decide for a third baby (especially my OH) and I'm afraid he'll say no to trying again. TTC was his idea but he really panicked when I told him I was pregnant (financial worries, etc.)...

Anyway, does anybody here have experience similar to mine? When should I expect to start bleeding? In a day or two or longer?

I don't see why you would think you are miscarrying. Women put too much value into pregnancy tests and darkness early on. Many factors could contribute to the lines being less dark etc. but the bottom line is all of tests continue to show you as pregnant.

I was once pregnant and tested positive and then for a few days barely got positives and ended up having a healthy baby.

Right now, I don't see anything that means you will have a chemical. With my chemical the lines faded very swiftly and I couldn't pull a positive on Clear Blue.

I wouldn't rule out a healthy pregnancy yet.

Hi Katy,

I just wanted to drop in and send hugs as I'm currently in a similar boat and understand how you must be feeling. Having had my BFP on New Years Day I am now cramping and testing completely negative (not even the faintest of lines), however I have not yet had a bleed..

I am hopeful that your little bean might stick yet, try not to lose faith.. As you said you are still testing positive, even on digital tests which are not normally as sensitive? There is every reason that you might get your happy ending! I do understand, however, that agonising need to see an obvious BFP test progression, especially after you've already experienced a loss..

My GP said to me that stress can only add to your risk of MC (something to do with cortisol competing with progesterone- which is fundamental in supporting pregnancy in the early stages) and that for many women, high stress levels can cause the worry of MC to become a sort of self fulfilling prophecy? So please, as much as you can, try to relax. Currently you are testing positive so take some deep breaths and hopefully everything will be fine!

Stick little bean! Good luck!

xxx

Thank you girls.
But I started bleeding. It was a chemical after all. I know it's early but I feel terrible anyway.

Ahhh I'm so sorry hun There is a lot to be said for a woman's intuition in these situations (although I'm not sure if I am ever lucky enough get a sticky in the future that i'll ever feel 'confident' about it.. But with all my losses so far I have just 'known'- even before they happened).

I know there's not a lot I can say but I am in a very similar boat, possibly just a couple of days behind, so I'm here if you need to talk. Sending love and hugs and all the best for the future. I hope you get your rainbow baby xxx

Definitely will do I know how hard it is at the moment but it does seem to me, after chatting with lots of ladies on this forum and others, that the majority of couples do go on to get their happy ending.. it's just a matter of time.

Have a good , process your loss, and then pick yourself up and try again.. We can try again, together
