I've had 11 losses but 3 rainbows despite my rmc issues.
MC 1-8 weeks
MC 2-9.5 weeks
MC 3-suspected BO#1, 7 weeks
DS (baby aspirin, progesterone)
MC 4-BO 8 weeks
DD (baby aspirin, progesterone)
MC 5-9.5 weeks
MC 6-BO 7 weeks
MC 7-14 weeks
MC 8-BO 7 weeks
LO (progesterone, baby aspirin)
MC 9-BO 8 weeks
MC 10-twins 8 weeks
MC 11-chemical 4.5 weeks
After my 3rd loss, I was diagnosed with progesterone issues and supplemented nearly every pg after that. After my 14 week loss, I had clotting testing done but it came back normal. After my twin loss, I requested further testing and I found out I am homozygous MTHFR C677T which causes low folate levels and bleeding issues. I tend to bleed in the first tri even with my successful pregnancies so this explains ALOT. I'm only sorry I didn't ask for the test sooner.
My story isn't rosy and it's certainly not fun to go through losses like this but I wanted to tell you that there is indeed hope. I've beaten immense odds three times and successfully made it to term so I'm hoping and praying it will be the same for you.
Wow Dairymomma I'm so sorry for your losses.. What a difficult journey you have had. Thank you for sharing your story.. I'm so happy to hear you've had three healthy babies despite it being a very bumpy ride to get there.. Stories like yours give me some hope. I do wish they would consider progesterone supplements over here as so many people seem to swear by them..
Just to update this thread I started bleeding this morning so this is, as I suspected, my third loss. Will contact my GP tomorrow
They have been every time Did you just 'know' with yours? Equally did you feel more positive with the pregnancies that you carried to term? I wonder whether I'll ever feel positive about a future BFP.. xxx
I 'knew' with DS and DD but I didn't with LO. However, I didn't bleed with DS and I didn't have any complications with DD aside from a small bout of bleeding at 8 weeks so once I hit 12 weeks, I felt like it was clear sailing. That theory went out the window though with my 14 week loss and I haven't felt confident with any pregnancy since. Even with LO and seeing her hb every week wasn't enough to make me feel absolutely sure BUT I had threatened miscarriage symptoms from 5-11 weeks and it was the first time I got to 14 weeks after that loss so I was panicked for good reason. I think it was just such a complicated start to a pregnancy that I couldn't relax until she was born.
I will say though I've known with my BOs and my chemical that something wasn't right from pretty much the start and when the baby's hb stopped with my 14 week loss, I knew when it happened even though it wasn't confirmed for 3 more days. So I do trust my instincts to a certain degree for that reason.
