So confused and upset

DH and I have been NTNP pretty much since our son was born in August. I didn't have a cycle, though because I'm breastfeeding. 10 days ago (March 31) I had a positive ovulation test and DH and I had been able to DTD a couple times within the days leading up to that. I tried not to get my hopes up too much because I knew the odds of getting pregnant my first cycle after having DS were slim at best (it took a year and two mc to get pregnant with him).

When I hit 7dpo, I was certain that I was pregnant but obviously, it wouldn't show up on a test yet. I had a feeling, though. Finally yesterday (9dpo) I took a FRER and got a really faint positive. My BFP with DS started the same though, so I was feeling really hopeful about it.

However, a few hours after that faint bfp, I started bleeding

But its really confusing. Normally, my periods are really heavy and really painful because of endo and PCOS. But I'm having really mild cramps that aren't even really noticeable (except that I'm looking for them). The bleeding has been lighter than what my normal cycles used to be too (although more than spotting).

I really feel like I was pregnant and I got a faint bfp. But it was so early, that I don't think there's any way to know for sure.

I feel heartbroken over the whole situation, especially because DH isn't convinced I was pregnant. I keep trying to be hopeful that maybe I could still be pregnant, but I know the chances are practically nothing.

I'm not even 100% sure I should be upset because I didn't know for sure if I was even pregnant. I feel line it would be pointless to call my doctor now for a blood test.

I'm sorry this is such a mess. I needed to get it all out.

Have you tested again since then? Bleeding in early pregnancy is common. I know it's a rollercoaster but don't assume the worst yet. If you test again and it's negative I'd say this was probably a chemical if you do gwt a blood test, it can show if your hcg is going up or down, which may give you more of an answer. hang in there hon

I'm sorry you're going through this, and you have every right to be sad. I don't think it's too late for a blood test. Are you still bleeding today?
