Worried about Miscarriage

I might not be posting this in the right forum, but I posted this in a different one and got no response, so I thought I would try this one. I'm just looking for a little emotional support and maybe some advice.

I miscarried at 8 weeks last September after I took femara and did IUI. We, of course, were devastated. The baby never developed past 6 weeks and we never found a heartbeat. I had a lot of testing done after and there were no chromosomal issues with the baby and the only thing we could find was that I was borderline for a blood clotting disorder. My RE started me on a low dose of aspirin and said that he didn't believe I needed heparin or any type of blood thinner at this point.

We decided to take a mini-break from our RE and decided to just try clomid and TI cycles for 6 months. I was monitored the entire time. On our 5th month, I got pregnant again.

Based on my LPM I should have been 5+6 at my first ultrasound but all the doctor could see was gestational sac and yolk sac. The gestational sac measured 4+5. He did not seem concern and said I may have ovulated later than we thought. He sent me for hCG and it was 650ish. He said that matches what he saw on the US and wants to repeat it this Thursday. He feels that it was just really early.

What bothers/worries me is that my LMP was March 10th. I believe I ovulated between March 23rd through 26th because I was being monitored and had 3 mature follicles on March 22nd. I had my first positive pregnancy test (very, very faint and could barely see the line) on April 7th.

I don't see how I could measure that far behind if I had a positive pregnancy test on April 7th. I know our bodies do crazy things and trust me, I had read every post about measuring behind and all of that. I'm trying to remain positive but also realistic.

Does anyone have any advice or support that they would like to share? I would really appreciate it. I feel like I am going to worry myself crazy before I go back Thursday. We have been TTC for almost 3 years and I just really want this to work out.

I think I've responded to another thread you have but just out of curiousity, what is your clotting disorder?

I have MTHFR (homozygous C677T) and because it causes folate deficiency as well as bleeding issues, I have to take high dose methylfolate supplements during pg and I'm on baby aspirin for the duration of my pregnancies. (I met with a hematologist last year who wanted me on lovenox as well but I declined it as I've gotten to term with just baby aspirin.) For me, the folate really made a difference. Folate is HUGELY necessary for fetal development, specifically the brain, and being deficient explained why I was losing my babies so early (7-9 weeks). '

And if you are curious, my history is 9.5 years TTC, 11 miscarriages/12 angels, 3 rainbows, and #4 is currently baking. I bleed in the first tri of all my pgs whether I've lost the baby or not. I've had 1 chemical, a 14 week loss, 5 BOs, and 4 losses between 7-9.5 weeks.

My current treatment regimen is progesterone (200mg 2/day) from bfp to 14 weeks-weaned off by 15, baby aspirin 2 per day from bfp to 14 weeks, then 1 per day til 35 weeks, and 1-4 mg of methylfolate per day from bfp to delivery.

No, no one responded to my other thread at all so it must have been someone different. And mine is the antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. My levels were just like 5 points over the normal cutoff. I'm on progesterone too.

I'm assuming it was transvaginal ultrasound. Even so, the sac is so tiny-literally only millimeters. So if the measurement is off even a tiny bit at this stage (which is common) then your dates will be off. Usually everything catches up once the baby is bigger.
My LMP was 3/12. I had an ultrasound at 5+1 and all that was seen was a sac and tiny yolk. My OB put me back to 4+5 but that was a guesstimate as she couldn't get a perfect measurement. Anyways, she was very happy with the ultrasound. And yours sounds very similar. Usually after 6 weeks you'll see the fetal pole and sometimes even the heartbeat. Things change so fast in just a day at this gestation. I think you're fine!

Thank you. I know that I just need to relax and hang in there but it is hard not to worry. I have still had morning sickness throughout the day and sore/tender breasts. Last time, all of my symptoms went away. I'm trying to think positive but it has been hard. Thanks for you support. It means a lot. I'm glad things are going well for you.
