Miscarriage complication? What's going on?

Hi all,

So I had a miscarriage on June 2, I was 5 weeks. We were so destroyed to loose our little one and the time since has been rough. But it's become even more emotionally exhausting with some complications that have come up, leaving us in limbo. I'm wondering if anyone has had anything similar come up?

Here're my details:
5/22 BFP at 10dpo
5/23 HCG 25
5/26 HCG 109
5/31 HCG 96 (told that there's a good chance I'll miscarry)
6/2 @5 weeks Heavy bleeding, cramping for 3 days, assumed MISCARRIAGE
6/7 Dr f/u, Pain on right side at internal exam, sent for ultrasound, nothing seen, only cyst on ovary (opposite side though), lining very very thin (4mm)
6/7 HCG 413
6/9 HCG 715
6/12 U/S showed small "spot" in the uterus, radiologist does not know what it is. 2 mm only. "could be related to miscarriage or could be a pregnancy". If pregnancy, would only be dated 5 wk 1 day, IF i was still pregnant it should be 6wk 3 days. 99% confident in my dating as I chart.

What the heck? I feel like I'm on this nightmarish roller coaster. Even if it is a pregnancy, I don't think it would be viable if its that small? And my lining was so thin at my u/s 5 days ago.

My doc wanted to rule out trophoblastic disease, I guess it could still be that? They said it could also still be ectopic?

I can't help but hope for a miracle baby but I don't want to hold onto that and then be crushed again. We now have to wait two weeks for another ultrasound. I have an OB appointment tomorrow so hopefully I get more answers. It was just the radiologist that I've talked to.

Has anyone had a similar experience??? I'm so frustrated and emotionally exhausted.

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that. I hope you get some answers soon. I'm currently going through a miscarriage as well. I was 6 weeks on Sunday and started bleeding. ER sent me home telling me my levels were 48 which she said I probably wasn't as far along as I thought (which didn't make sense considering I had a strong positive test a week 1/2 earlier) so after having blood drawn and given fluids and having an ultrasound where they found no sac or baby we were sent home. The next day I went to my ob where they took bloood again and did another ultrasound. My urine test that day was negative and the ultrasound showed a disturbance in my uterus which she said meant I was definitely miscarrying. But now I have to go back to the doctor again today to have more blood drawn and to make sure my body is passing everything naturally and that my levels are going down. If not I'll have to have a D&C. It's such an emotional process that I don't wish on my worst enemy

Thanks for the support. Yes, as if loosing your baby weren't bad enough, all of these tests and u/s and procedures and waiting makes it all like slow torture. Sending love.
