Hi. I just finished bleeding from my 7th loss. I had 3 m/c then had healthy twins and now just had 4 more m/c since them. Its so hard. They just tested me for clotting disorder and said everything is fine keep trying. I guess i just have to keep hoping.... Maybe the next time will work.

I'm so sorry you are going thru this again.

I know some women who have had high NK cells have had luck if they've increased their steroid dosage so I don't know if that's an option for you but it could also have been bad luck, unfortunately. I know women who have miscarried with the treatment and yet had successful pgs with the same meds/doses.

And have you tried high dose folate? I have a clotting issue but it's related to an inability to process folic acid so my dr put me on high dose methylfolate and that seems to be the ticket for me.

I went through struggles, it was the most mentally testing time of my life and we came through.

Do you have a consultant you can talk with about the next step? x
Thank you Wobbles x

I emailed my consultant at Coventry and he wants us to try again and said to not let this set back put us off.
I am due for surgery at St. Mary's in September to check for Ashermans. So I will be seeing my consultant there after, I am guessing in October some time. They probably will just say to try again as thats all we can do. Our problems were treated but sadly the meds didn't work. So I am guessing that we are now playing the numbers game?

Thanks Les. Hope all is well with you xx
Sucks to be here yet again. Despite all of this I am even more determined to keep on going. The pain is just making me want this even more. I am not giving up. Even if I have to endure this 20 more times I will. I refuse to give up. i will keep going through the heartache until my eggs dry up if thats what it takes. Then I can't say i never tried. I would regret giving up if I did xx

I was diagnosed with elevated NK cells myself, but as I had DD without any issues and without medication and as at least two of my losses appear to have been because of chromosomal issues, I was too scared to take steroids. I just googled NK cells again and this came up

http://www.ivf1.com/natural-killer-c...e-infertility/

Now I don't know what to believe about NK cells but all I can say is that they are not fully understood and I am proof that even with elevated NK cells normal pregnancy is possible (my DD). I hope they find the treatment that works for you.

Hi Curlymikes
So sorry that you are also going through recurrent losses.
The fact that you have had healthy twins in between is really positive 😊
I am thinking that this is a nunbers game. Maybe do need to keep trying and hope one day it will work

Hi Dairymomma. Thank you. It's all just so frustrating. Been trying so hard to become a mum with no results yet. But will keep on going x
I emailed my doctor and he just said to try again and didn't say anything about uping the dose at all. I was on 20mg prednisolone this time.
I have a mild clotting disorder treated with clexane. No one has said anything about didferent forms about folic acid. Not even sure it's a thing they suggest here in the UK!?
Was thinking of getting some additional testing done before we try again. Was going to have DH do the spermcomet test for DNA fragmanentaion and I want my egg quality looked at too.
I have surgery in 6 weeks time to check for uterine scars. I am not convinced there will be any but it something to rule out.

The NHS just treats everything where there is no obvious cause as unexplained, when clearly after multiple losses things can't just be unexplained. I am based in London and so we had tests and two fertility clinics here (Lister and CRGH) both of which test for everything the NHS doesn't even acknowledge.

I am keeping everything crossed that you have an answer and a treatment that works soon.

I would ask about the methylfolate as you can have the clotting issue I have (MTHFR) and not have any other signs of it aside from pregnancy loss. For me, I tend to lose my babies between 7-9 weeks and I have bleeds in my first tri even with my successful pregnancies. My hemotologist said the low folate levels I have cause bleeds (which have caused at least one of my losses) and can cause RMC because folate is essential for fetal development. So if I'm chronically low in folate as it is and I don't have enough for the baby to grow properly, it makes sense that I'd lose the pregnancy as my body is sensing something isn't right.

My only successful pregnancies have been when I've taken a high dose methylfolate supplement, progesterone, and daily baby aspirin in the first tri. I continue the methylfolate til delivery and I will take a baby aspirin in the morning if I remember to. (PG brain...)

Also, I know most women on steroids have tried upping their dosage by 5mg the next pg so maybe you could ask about that too?
