Help! HCG Levels and Periods after miscarriage

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone can tell me how long it is you normally ovulate after hcg levels reach zero?

I had a blighted ovum, and miscarried naturally about 6 weeks ago, but have not yet started my periods. I know my hcg levels were a bit slow coming down, and that they had got down to 17 2 1/2 weeks ago - this is when the hospital said they were low enough and said i did not need to go back.

I am so desperate to start trying again and is really getting me down - but just feel like this is going to drag on it did when i came off the pill (I had high pro-lactin and did not get periods back - fell pregnant on first cycle after 2 1/2 years)

Sorry to waffle on - has anyone experienced anything similar?
