The sac is still there!!!

So i have been bleeding after 7 weeks of waiting after diagnoses of my blighted ovum. I have been bleeding for well over a week and on saturday night after a 14 hour shift at work it was dripping out of me. I got through 14 pads and two pairs of pants in one hour, before i passed two large clots larger than a plum! I assumed it was the sac.

But the scan yesterday showed it was fully intact still. What the hell! Surely i am anaemic by now! The consultant said it was normal but as i was "14 weeks" now i have to have a D and C this friday which i have been trying to avoid.

It was awful. I started my new job last weekend and i had to go work the next day on sunday after bleeding out what looked like half a pint in one hour.

I am working weekends only so will be there again this weekend after my d and c on friday. was anyone okay the next day?

It's my fault as i should have had the d and c 7 weeks ago but i am fed up with errors being made at my local hopsital and frankly do not trust them much!

It totally sucks!

Sorry! Rant over!

Oh sweetie I can't believe you are still going through all this, you must feel like you are living a nightmare.

I'm going to have another go at messaging you later - when I tried to reply to you before it said your inbox was full xx

sorry about this huni

I think d+c is needed now to remove 'everything' as your bleeding because of body trying to expel the sac x

I had a d+c , its a quick procedure, out same day and minimal pain xx

Oh sweetie. I had a similar thing although I started to bleed within days of diagnosis. I passed clots and piles of blood but sac was still fully intact and I had to go for a D+C. The pain was horrendous when passing a clot before the D+C - I had to squat and strain/push them out. The D+C itself was painless and over quickly.

I will warn you I still bled heavily and passed large clots the day after the D+C though.

You won't be fit to work the next day - you'll be weak and drained and emotionally upset too once it's all over

Hope you are okay (as much as you can be) - chin up!!
xxx
