severe pain

I can't find anything online other than "it might an eptopic" but I know I have not had an eptopic pregnancy. I woke up this morning feeling "rough"...I've had cramps to a greater or lesster degree for weeks now but this morning I've felt SO sick and have been rolling about on the sofa in agony with waves of severe abdominal pain. I don't remember it being like this with my last m/c which was "done and dusted" within a week...I've already been losing for 10 days . These don't feel like cramps, these feel like, I dunno...someone is ripping my insides out whilst using a hot poker at the same time...has anyone else had this?? I'm on my own as my OH has gone to his fathers to talk business and to be honest am scared x

I had pretty severe pain before I know I miscarried and even after the D&C. Mine was mostly in my back (like back labor). If you are still in this much pain after 10 days, I would think you should call a Dr, it can be a sign of infection. I had an infection after I had my son and if felt like someone was stabbing me. I went on some antibiotics for a few days and felt fine. But pain like that should definately be checked out by a Dr.

Thank you for your reply..I have just come back from A&E I had to call a friend and ask her to come get me, I could not take it anymore and the meds I have been taking just didn't do enough. I now have some co-drydamol and have been told to continue with my planned follow up with the scan tomorrow. I was more than worried about infection but they didn't even seem to question it so time will tell. Makes it worse when you are a nurse yourself and yet cannot see straight for pain to be rationale! Mind, I guess sometimes we all just have to be a patient, I'm just a rubbish one.
Thank you again for your reply though. xxx

Glad to hear that you got some new medication. I called my doctor a week after my D&C concerned about cramping and back pain, and all they did was offer to call me in some stronger pain medicine (which I declined- I just wanted to make sure I didn't have an infection). I think I may just take longer than most to heal.

I don't think you are a rubbish one. You are already going through enough emotional pain, you don't need the physical pain too. I hope you start to feel better soon!

So I've had my follow up scan today, I've still not passed all the pregnancy and she said it is lying so low that is why I am in so much pain, the drugs I got given yesterday are now no longer touching it, I am in agony once more. I'm also now on anti-biotics as it's been so long as I guess cause the sac etc has broken down now...the Dr that I saw said I have to be supervised cause of my blood loss etc. They did kinda offer me the ERPC which I just could not go for anyhoo and hence the anti biotics instead. I'm just about to call my GP and get another prescription cause there is nothing for breakthrough pain that I can take on top of what I have now. Feeling so sick and weak it's unreal. I just want the pain to go away I've had enough, feel so down and depressed today. x
