I'm thankful for my lil girl who is 8 months! I just miscarried this past weekend with baby#2. It was horrible and wasn't naturally lost. The prescription medicine my "doctor" prescribed me killed my baby. Everything was normal except the minor bacterial infection I had. But before I took the medication for it I had no complications. After taking it I started bleeding and had bad pains on and off. I was very worried so I went to the ER 2 weeks ago on a Tuesday (complications started Monday...Friday is when I started taking the pills) they ran tests wanted me to go back 2 my clinic to do the same blood test 2 days later and did so they can compare the numbers and called my clinic for results next day they didn't have them. Then Saturday everything got worse..worse pain..worse bleeding, then went to the bathroom over and over around 930 Saturday night I miscarried. I strongly believe it was the medication because I have been doing A LOT of research on it and it states in almost every article it should NOT be taken in the FIRST TRIMESTER! I called my doctor that delivered my little girl Sophia ( I din't go back to him because my Medicaid was pending) and they told me that they prescribed me the same medicine but I was already 6 MONTHS ALONG....I'm currently talking to a lawyer and trying to get some kind of Justice because that woman has NO business having a license to prescribe medicines at the wrong time during pregnancy!!! My husbands sister is a nurses aid and she looked in her nurse's HANDBOOK and even states that that specific medicine SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER..just very upset and concerned because I am not the only one that has gone through this and I want to do something about it before other mothers are in jeopardy! it's not a fun thing to go through. I feel HORRIBLE I lost my baby to prescription medicine SO LADIES IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND YOU'RE IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER OR NO SOME ONE THAT IS AND HAVE A COMMON BACTERIAL INFECTION PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE METRONIDAZOLE!!!

OMG!! So sorry to hear this. I hope justice gets served for you and you find closure from the loss of your little one.

Im so sorry was this a general practitioner ? This couldnt possibly be a obgyn ? yes i would file a lawsuit you are doing the right thing ! i suffered a miscarriage earlier this month and going to try again to concieve ! Prayers for you and your family Please keep us updated .

Thank yall and I hope we get some kind of Justice or even just help other mothers that would have the risk of going through what I did. It's hard especially when I was so excited and already buying cute clothes....I can't shake this feeling and don't know when I will be healed emotionally but I have been praying. I am tired of balling my eyes out everyday....But I am currently talking to a lawyer and keep yall posted! P.S MY "DOCTOR" IS TECHNICALLY A LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE/MIDWIFE....IF I EVER TRY TO CONCEIVE AGAIN I WILL NEVER GO TO ONE OF THEM AGAIN:/ THEY REALLY NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR MEDICINES AND PRESCRIBE THEM LIKE THEY GENERALLY SHOULD BE PRESCRIBED...IF I CAN DO THE RESEARCH AND USE MY COMMON SENSE THEY CAN TOO!

In your case I think I would have the same feelings Im sure it is going to be tough . But good luck to you next time and wish you the best At first i was having doubts about trying agin because i am scared of another one , But i told myself i will try again and if by chance i would have another miscarriage then i would stop and just leave well enough alone . I have 2 daughters already and was hoping for a boy !
