Cramps after d&c

I had a d&c 5 days ago for a mmc (suspected partial molar pregnancy). I have only had one day of minor spotting and very little pink/yellow discharge since then (sorry tmi). What I am wondering is how long should your cramping last and how Intense should it be? As I said I am five days post op and my cramping is just as bad as it was at the hospital when they had me in the pitocin drip. It wasn't this bad before, it just started today. Can it be period pains already? I am so lost and need some advice. Thanks

first i want to say im very sorry about your loss. on the cramping, after my d&e ( 2 weeks ago ) i had cramping for a few days and it was mild but i couldnt sit straight up and put pressure on my vagina ( sorry if tmi ) the pain would get 10x worse. i would call my dr or an emergency line though if they were just as bad as when you were at the hospital, i know my pains were gut wrenching so i can only imagine. hope this helped
