is this normal?

I have been miscarrying since Thursday, but after initial heavy loss Thursday it didn't start again until Saturday, which was heavy and very clotty until about 4 pm. Yesterday was really bad, excessive all day, but tapered off slightly in the evening. This started again just before bed. The pain has been quite bad. I was woken in the night with pain, never happened before and bleeding quite heavily, was about 2 AM, since then, pain, more large clots, Ben up out of bed about 6 times, bleeding through clothes and even though bed protected by towels, gone through onto that. Does this sound normal for day 5...x x x

Sounds like you need to get checked out. Everyone is different. I MC at 9w3d and I spotted for 2 days, passed baby bled heavy for few hours, then I had Medium like AF for 5 days, then 2 days of spotting. Much of the time, it seemed to start and stop. And thats from hormones dropping. I'm sorry for your loss!

Please get checked - it sounds like it's progressing reasonably normally but it's best to get an ultrasound done so the doctors can check things are working out properly, in case they need you to have a D&C. I bled for 10 days when I miscarried but the worst was the first three days, after which I stopped passing clots and large pieces of tissue.

I have been practically living at hospital, next scan is tomorrow, last scan was last Wednesday, so do you think I will be ok to wait until then x x

If you feel faint, dizzy, weak or that somethings not going right. Get to the hospital ASAP!

Well bleeding does not seem as bad, still there, pain is really bad this afternoon and seems to be in my left side and back, can anyone relate to this xxx

Yes, I had alot of pain. I loaded up on Midol. I hope the physical pain goes away soon and you are well all things considering.

Hi i was losing very heavy after initial gush on Friday , bleeding and pain got worse Saturday. Passing lots of big clots. I ended up in A&E by ambulance it took four hours to stabilise me in A&E before having to spend rest of weekend on a ward having iv drip. They had to give me injection to close my cervix to stop bleeding. I'm home now but just had to have emergency gp appointment and bloods show my iron levels are really low. Please don't take any chances hon. They told me at hospital I was losing too much . If u r still losing I would get checked out xx my miscarriage was natural and didn't need a D&C as scan showed that pregnancy had passed. I am sdtill losing but more like heavy period. Sorry for tmi but better u know what hospital told me. I think I waited too long before going in xx take care xx

what a drama, a and e last night, for over 5 Hours, on drip, IV pain meds, then the worst experience ever, a manual d and c, no anaesthetic, omg, I really think I did so well, never made a fuss, but oh was so painful. He removed as much as possible, but tissue retained. Wanted to keep me in, but cause scan today he couldn't. Reason is inpatient can not have outpatient appointment. So stabilised me and sent home at about 1am. Appointment today retained tissue on scan, still in loads of pain, they decided d and c, I said can try meds. They then decided not normal for my hospital but as couldn't do d and c today, they would give it ago. So had meds, not worked yet, have to have scan next week, then if still retained, d and c......so drained, been such a long haul, with horrible end result x x x sorry you have had rough time too, take care x x
