3 Miscarriages, 7 months break. Ready to start again. Anyone else?

Hello,

Our story :

Trying to conceive since our wedding = 2008. 2 years without success then 3 early miscarriages last year. Reluctantly decided to take a break as I was a wreck, now starting to feel strong enough to try again!

Had the investigations done, nothing found. Going to try one more time before seeking help privately (didn't find the NHS forthcoming - doctor lacked interest - just said to try again).

Anyway, anyone with me?

Hi, i am really sorry for your losses.

I had MMC in July 09 and MMC in Jan 12 - although i do have 3 children as well who are 10,7 and 22 months.

Even though i have not had recurrent miscarriages, my doctor has refered me to a specialist in MC.

It is a lady called Professor Quenby - she is actually based at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, but I think you need a doctor referral. However, i believe she does a private clinic as well, but the waiting list is longer than the NHS!

not sure where you are, but if you are within travelling distance of Heartlands, it might be worth trying to get appoinment - from what i read about her she is very good.

once again, i am so sorry and really hope you get your rainbow baby.

Yep i am just about with you!!

I have had 3mmc beween june 2010 and oct 2011, had a break ttc whilst trying to sort my thyroid out and i am so hoping my endocrinologist gives me the all clear in may to ttc!! I will have had a 7 month break too, not through choice but waiting for nhs cock ups to get sorted blah blah blah.

Went private in the end as i would still have another 4 months to wait if i relied on nhs to sort my thyroid out. It seems i may have pcos as well, i will know in 3 weeks when i have had all blood test, again, nhs didnt even look into this for me

Good luck

xx

Im sorry for your losses as it cant be easy!!

Me and my husband have been trying for the past 6 years, we have had two ectopics and had both my tubes removed. We spent a year doing IVF before I became pregnant with twins but sadly 4weeks ago when they were only 18 weeks old my water broke and both boys were born. It really hurts but I do look forward to doing the IVF again in 2months as long as I have normal periods, if anything I think that is all that is keeping me going.
Its to early yet to find out what happen and may have to wait a couple more months and that is if they will even find a reason.
Good luck with everything.
xx
