Our baby had Edwards Syndrome

Hi ladies,

Had my 3d mc at 11+1 and have got the results back. Our baby was a little girl and she had Edwards Syndrome. She wouldn't have made it to her first birthday. We have named her India Jayne xx

I had no idea there are results following a miscarriage. I'm hopeful my husband and I may get some answers after all.

That's a lovely name you chose for your baby.

Sorry we have to 'meet' like this.

I had my twins at 18 weeks and they sent them away to be tested as well as took bloods and swabs from me! They can not always give you a reason why this happened but we still have a chance of finding out why and hope that it does not happen again.x

Thanks for that.

Yesterday, the OB took a swab of my cervix. Also, I was told an obvious clot/bit of tissue would be tested. I go tomorrow for 48-hours-on hcg blood test. Hopefully, I'll be given some useful information (as the OP and you were).

This was my first miscarriage and I have no children yet so this is all very new to me and my husband. Strange position to be in...wanting information, wanting to understand whilst at the same time hoping/wishing we didn't have to make sense of all this new information. Very strange, that.

twordue so sorry for your losses, must be awful to lose them so late on. I hope you get some answers, it has definitely helped us to understand even if it's not helped us to grieve for her any less.

sowanted so sorry for your loss too. I just wanted to say that unfortunately they dont find out the cause for the majority of mc's so please dont get your hopes up that you'll get answers.
