MC at 12 weeks..

I found out my baby didn't have a heartbeat last Friday... We decided to use the cytotec pills instead of the d&c. I have been in and out of the hospital for check ups and blood work... It's tomorrow is a week since the miscarriage & today my hcg levels are at 140...I am emotionally drained but I am also very very tired! Is this normal? The doctor told me it was unusual that I have pretty much been in no pain at all.... I also would like to know if the miscarriage will mess up my ovulation and periods... I know it won't be a few months until we try again.. But it's only been a week and I'm nt really bleeding anymore at all.. My friends said they bled a lot longer.

I've no idea what's normal, per se, but I miscarried at nine and a half weeks, although the pregnancy probably stopped developing a few weeks earlier. I had a few afternoons of moderately bad cramping, but mostly very little pain. The bleeding stopped in about a week and a half.

You were further along, so perhaps that makes it more unusual.

My cycle was messed up for about 3 months after my miscarriage. I didn't ovulate those 3 months and my cycles were longer than usual and a little unpredicatable. When I naturally miscarried I was in extreme pain and had very heavy bleeding with lots of clots but every person is different. Your hcg levels are quite low for it only being a week so it seems like you had a complete miscarriage. Your doctor should do an ultrasound to make sure everything has passed to be sure.

I got an ultrasound done and I'm going in this week for more blood work. The doctor says they should be close to 0 now if not already 0... Thank you for the info!
