Thought the bleeding had stopped :-(

Hi all,

Just want to complain really. I had been bleeding from my mc for 19 days up until Tuesday, I spotted slightly weds and no bleeding yesterday, I thought finally it's over and but then today I'm bleeding again it's not heavy but it's more than spotting. So upset and annoyed at the same time, 3 whole weeks now!!!! Can anyone tell me if it normal to stop bleeding then start again? Xxxx

Aw, so annoying. I understand! Everyone is so different. I bled for 46 days with my miscarriage. A few days I thought it stopped but then came back. There might be retained tissue in there. If you are concerned you can talk with your doctor. they can do an ultrasound to see if there is still retained tissue. Did you have a D & C or natural? Mine was natural and it just took forever ,but at the very end I finally passed a long blood clot and the bleeding stopped right after that. It was weird. Hang in there! I know it can be very frustrating and worrisome.

Thanks hobbnob, I didn't have a d & c, I took misoprostol as I had a mmc and that was 3 weeks ago.....just want it to end, not only because I want to ttc again but just so it's over, I can't stop thinking of myself as a woman who is currently miscarrying. Plus I never really saw my baby pass, my last scan showed residual tissue and blood clots which could have been the baby and sac just broken down, but I never saw anything definitive. I need closure and it's just never ending at the moment xxxxx

Aww sorry hun, I spotted and bled throughout my first cycle after my second loss, 35 days then had a proper bleed/period for 13 days after that. I think in all that time I had 6 days of not bleeding or spotting. My hcg was slow to fall and just before that af (tmi) I had brown/black stuff come away. I think I had leftover tissue but it was not seen on a scan.

I have recently suffered my third mmc and asked for an erpc this time I again thought I had stopped bleeding but it started again today day 19. If you are concerned go see your doc.

I try to bring it up with the hospital but they just keep telling me to wait and that it can take this long....it's like I have to fight to get seen by them. I have already had one follow up scan that showed residual tissue but they told me to keep waiting for it to naturally pass or be absorbed. I feel like I can't get any answers. It's worrying me that the blood is now bright red almost pink too, its fresh blood so why is it still being pushed out? Sorry for tmi, just stressed and sick of doctors waving me off like a pechalent child

Go see your gp hun and explain that its effecting your mental.health tjis gping on so.long which it clearly it is and that you need some closure on it. I personally thing the who management of missed miscarriage is cruel in this country. Why should women suffer just because of guidelines. Hugs hun. X

Hi debzie,

Thanks, I'm going to go see GP tomorrow and ask about having hcg levels checked and blood test. Do you know if UK gps will check hcg levels as it seems to be something that's done much more in the USA? Xxxx

Hi , sorry u are going through this, my mc started 30/3 hon and I'm still losing a little. I keep feeling pulling sensations in my uterus. When this happened last week I kept passing small clots a short time after but not now. Sorry for tmi. I am a bit worried that I might not be passing what needs to come out I didn't have D&C either, I just want it to be over so my body can recover and like u i would like to be able to start thinking about ttc again. Im just taking loads of vitamins to try and get back into good health. Think its me just trying to be proactive Hope u go ok at gp , hospitals r hard work I always felt Like they were fobbing me off.. Xx
