Stiff headrest for toddler wearing

Does anyone have a tutorial (that I can google if links aren't allowed) to sewing a stiff headrest? I want something I can adapt to stick on my angelpack max. Can be a tutorial for a mei tai or similar that has a stiff headrest and I'll just make that part.

I can't use a carrier with a body any longer than this as I am extremely short, but Sophie wants the back to come up behind her head and hates the hood.

I'm thinking something that can snap on where the hood usually does and maybe looks like the top of a baby hawk or a kanga?
