Its also the fact that sweden don't allow infants to FF and have almost zero infant fatalities in car crashes as a result

That guy sounds like a complete tool!

Why not get your mum to look at carseat.se and other key sites for facts herself?

I can easily see if Emma were to unbuckle her seatbelt because I have a mirror to see her! Simple solution. That guy sounds like an idiot.

lol being forward facing doesnt stop my 3 yr old from undoing himself , far from it lol i would wager that he wouldnt be able to undo the 5point harness on a rearfacing seat as easy as the 3point adult saftey belt on his booster and while in the harness would be highly unlikely to be able to reach to undo the belt holding the seat in place either

Ermm... he's not an expert... he's a salesman, probably working on commission. BIG BIG difference.

No one in my family likes the fact that I do ERF, not my mom, not my MIL, not even my DH. Tough. It's something I have chosen and I am sticking to it. My mom and MIL have no business in this decision. My DH does, but until he can do the research and show me that FF is better for them (which I know he can't do) they will RF until they reach the weight limits. Full stop. DH brings it up about once per week. I just firmly say "He's not turning around until he reaches the weight limit -- that's 45 pounds. Deal with it." And end the conversation.
