it would depend on several things, cost, appearance and reviews obviously if they're new then its hard to get reviews so the price would need to reflect this to make me want to take the risk but ultimately yes, I'm a sucker for pretty prints

Cost £20, choice of patterns/colours, nice finish, new but sold by mum who baby wears and uses these wraps herself, also offers a no quibble money back guarantee x

I can't really afford the lovely wraps that a lot of women here wear, I'm also not a 100% wearer I occasionally wear my LO so spending a great deal of money to me seems pointless.

I'm not a wrapper, I use a mei tai and an SSC but if I was looking at buying a non-branded wrap I would want to check that the wrap would definitely be strong enough. I'd definitely want to know whether it was one continuous piece of material or whether there were any joins. If there were joins, I'd want to know it had been safety tested. I wouldn't really be tempted by a £20 stretchy wrap as there are already a couple of well known brands around that price so I'd probably not risk it unless it was somebody I knew personally. I'd be very tempted by cheaper woven wraps though, but I don't know if there are already cheap wovens, I haven't looked into it.

Well I'm looking into selling woven wraps, I've been making my own since I think the branded ones are really overpriced for what they are! I looked online and couldn't find any cheaper alternatives, not in my price range anyway.

I only use ones I've made myself, and I wouldn't put my child in it if I didn't believe it was 100% safe. I would never put a join in a wrap because I would worry about the safety of it.

I was thinking about getting 10 different mums to test them, getting approvals, making adjustments if needed until everyone was 100% happy before actually selling.

Sounds interesting certainly - priced well if it does the job!! :-)

Do you have a local sling meet? Bet that would be a great place for initial thoughts / feedback!

Apparently there are a couple near me, both an hours bus ride away though! Will be my first port of call I think though, then I can compare with other wraps too

Thanks for the replies! xx

Stretchy, yes. Woven, no way. GSW's are woven differently to normal fabric with a 3 way weave for supportiveness and comfort. For me, the difference in comfort is definitely worth the extra £20-30.
