What's the best type of sling for infants?

Can you recommend one to me? Also I read that there is suffocation risk with slings because it curls the baby's chin too far into chest.

Ring slings are closest to this style but with proper positioning, or you can keep baby more upright in a mei tai or wrap type carrier, also an ergo.

I loved the Moby wrap when my LO was small x

I liked stretchy wraps also - I used a boba with my daughter and a moby with my son.
The wraps keep the baby upright.

The suffocation risk is with "bag slings", they aren't even slings (ie. "Infantino sway"), they are just a purse to put a baby in! All the rest recommended above are fine.

Sadly I can't use wraps, I feel like a claustrophobic Egyption mummy inside them...I got a Beco butterfly 2 on the way but don't know if that's good for wearing around a lot in the house

Beco are good everyone has a preference, it might take a few goes to find something you love, but carriers can usually be resold at high prices. X

I LOVE my beco and I finally got it down. :-)) LO also loves it.

I am still looking for a sling for just cruising around the house. I'll check out a ring sling.
