What is the easiest reusable nappy available?!

So...after spending a small fortune on nappies for my little man i've finally decided that my new arrival will be in cloth nappies.

But i have NO clue about them, and every time i look at all the different ones my head really spins. I don't know how i can make a decision!!!

I just want the simplest and easiest nappy available. I also would prefer if it had poppers as opposed to velcro fasteners as i keep coming across reviews saying that they break easily (not sure if this is true or not?!) and that they can be scratchy on a babies tummy?

I would prefer to get smaller nappies for when LO is younger and then go up in sizes rather than just get one size, as i keep imagining my LO wearing a massive nappy. Is this a ridiculous way to do it?! Do one size nappies engulf a newborn?

I definitely want a nappy where its just one bit (although do i still need the liners even in those ones??). Also, how many would i even need?! Arghh!!

As you can see, i am completely hopeless at this, but i want to order some in the next week or so. They are one of the last 'big' things on my lists of things i need. So the sooner the better!!

Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you if anyone has actually taken the time to get this far

I really love Itti Tuttos. They're relatively slim fitting in the gussett area and have snap in inserts.

You would still need a fleece liner to go between this and your baby's bum to protect the inserts from staining and also to keep ur baby's bum as dry as poss.

This is obviously just a personal preference and is by no means necessarily the best on the market, but I find them soooo easy and they fit so well.

I also use Ebay Cheapies with the microfibre insert + a bamboo booster. After washing and drying I just "set them all up" and pop them in the drawer, so they are as easy as disposibles at nappy changing time.

Hope this helps.

Ittis are great but I did find tuttos fiddly but then I've not had long enough to get used to them. Also Bambootys are really easy and trim, they just tend to be on the small size.

TotsBots easyfits are pretty easy and they now come in snaps (in the new v3) though the velcro is really strong on these, I can't imagine it would break.

The new Bumgenius Freetime looks really easy (haven't tried it yet but use lots of other Bumgenius products) and comes in snaps or aplix.

Bambootys are easy and come in snaps.

The new close parent pop-ins look pretty easy, not sure if they come in snaps or not.

personally, I'm not a fan of Tuttos, I find them overly complicated.

If you look for all of the above on you tube you will see demos of them and then you can see for yourself whether you think they are easy or not.

Honestly, though all of the above are AIOs / AI2s I would say that pockets are just as easy, you just have to reassemble once dry. I like Blueberry pockets, Bumgenius v3/v4 and we also use ebay cheapies a bit.

Some good suggestions there but please don't buy more than one or two of any one kind. As with sposies, not all nappies suit all babies. If you buy a load of anything and then find they don't work you're stuck!

you could see if your local authority does subsidised real nappy packs, it's a good way to try a few different nappies cheaply.

Up until ds2 started to try and escape during nappy changes we loved poppers and snaps, however now its so much quicker and easier to use easyfits or tiny nippers applix pockets as they take seconds to put on and no matter what position he tries to contort himself in to I can get them done up.
