Cloth Diapers - Is this a good buy?

Hey everyone!

I plan to cloth diaper for my baby once he/she is born. Right now they have a sale this month at the cloth diapering depot near me, however I do not know if they are a good brand. They are the Bambinos Bums one size, they are currently buy 6 get 2 free so that works out to 10.50 a diaper.

Here is a link to anyone who does not know which one i mean
http://www.calgaryclothdiaperdepot.c...s-onesize.html

Are they worth the buy? Will they work at first to atleast test out if i enjoy cloth diapering?

I haven't seen that brand before but I would say the exact same thing for any brand - don't buy more than a couple of anything until you've tried it first. It may be a good deal but if they don't work for your LO you will have a lot of wasted nappies. With them being one size, you will probably find that they won't work well until LO is at least 4 weeks old anyway (despite what they say, they all say that and it's very rarely true) so you wouldn't be using them straight away. It's a much better idea to wait, try a couple then buy more if you want. I know you may not get the same offer then, but I think the risk is too much.

Thank you for your advice.

Any one else with an opinion on this particular brand?

For me, I'd say no. But thats because I beleive they are pre-folds? I don't like the idea of folding, just not husband friendly for me. However, I think picking up a few of them for that price couldn't hurt. If you like them stick to them, remember to get a few different brands though, so you can decied what you like. Reviews are nice, but the best review is ur own when the baby is here, as they are all different sizes lol..

I would also second the advice to try different types of diapers. There are some very popular diapers out there that don't work at all for my son but work very well for others. You really will not know if something will work for you before your son is born. For this baby I have bought different brand newborn diapers, plan to sell what doesn't work and buy more of what does. What doesn't work for my baby will probably work for some one else's.
