CIO Support Group

Crying It Out Support Group

I noticed that we have alot of Mummies trying this at the moment and needing support.

I have tried it for 2 nights and not been too sucessful, but then realised that I really had no idea what I was doing and kept coming on here scrambling around looking for tips and advice!

I was left feeling so guilty and awful afterwards!

So if there's anyone who can help, or support us please leave some posts!

Or if you are going through it or planning to, come here and tell us how you go, and what works best for you xxx

dont give in girls, i did it with callum and it worked but then i did the stupid thing of letting him just sleep in our bed for ease, wish id never. anyhoo, this is my 2nd week of trying it again and so far so good, was really hard for the first few nights, he'd scream as soon as i put him in his own bed and then again when i left the room. he still screams if i leave the room now but i just let him get on with it, its heartbreaking and i feel awful but i know it'll all come good in the end. xx

I panic too, and then worry that she will remember in the morning and hate me!

Yes i've had to resort to CIO/CC a couple times... once a long time ago... and once a couple weeks ago, jasmine decided she was going to be staying up all hours of the night, clearly very tired and grouchy and needed to be asleep... It took one night and about an hour of work to do it.

I cant listen to the crying either, I turn the baby monitor down so you cant hear it and I check on it, and I dont leave her for too long.

It worked and she is back on track with her sleeping.
