Emera - sorry you had a crap night, hope tonight is better for you

Skadi - love the 'K' = hidden talents!

Mitch - have a nice day shopping tomorrow! My Sister got some really nice jeans from New Look, they've got a bit of stretch to them, think they were on offer 2 pairs for 20! so well worth having a look

Well I had a delivery from Asda before as ordered nappies and milk etc and had a free delivery coupon to use. Was a bit weird as the guy that dropped it off was around 30-ish but. He started handing me the bags ans then asked if I had a little one...I said yes 4 weeks old tomorrow and he started saying 'wow...you look amazing' but then he kept going on and on about how good I looked was a bit weird and awkward to be honest! felt like saying 'Ok weirdo go away now!!!

Mitch! Go you on the public feeding. I'm sure it will be great and easy and you'll be whipping the nip out here there and everywhere before long!!

Oh and fighting sleep is totally common. Once they get past the sleepy snoozy phase when they are brand new (so after the first month - 6 weeks) they don't really have any mechanism to fall asleep. Sometimes they'll doze off, but often they won't and then just get more and more stressed out and over stimulated. Their only way to shut stuff out is to cry. Thats why things like white noise in a darkened room, rocking, tuneless humming, being held against your heart, sucking etc are so helpful as they are rhythmic and repetitive and help them towards a hypnotic, trancelike and relaxed state. And then they can drift off. Its really hard to start with as you have to find what works. The problem is, that if for example you find rocking them to sleep works then thats great, except in 6 months time its going to be really tiring rocking a 7 month old 9kg baby for 30 mins every nap and bedtime. Its really possible to change what you are doing later on, i did it several times with Roh, but ideally its good to find a way to help them to sleep that suits both of you Have a bit of an experiment. Alot of it is putting them down at just the right time. I'm certainly guilty of leaving it too late quite often, as i miss the signals.

Skadi -I love the 'K' its beautiful, you're really talented I agree with Cupcakes advice about your friend's mum. Sorry to hear about the loss

Well, F is clearly trying to make up for the hellish night last night and went to sleep really nicely at 6.45pm 5 mins before Roh went to bed, so i've had a relaxing time Cleared up the house and sitting with a hot chocolate

Glow what can you do?? You are one hot mamma! You can't blame the poor bloke. However I would sleep with one eye open tonight...he knows where you live

Emera. Yep, D's sleepy phase is LONG gone!!! We try and put her down at night and let her self settle, doesn't always work (in fact rarely does if I'm being honest!). During the day though she has to be held. This worries me so much for later on. But what can you do??

Can't catch up, can't do anything. G won't settle out of my arms. Crying like a maniac. Finally decided to give up and spend the day rocking her and the dog licked my last cookie. Yelled at him and busted out crying and now I'm sitting here feeling hopeless... And wanting a cookie.

Check out Mitch dying to get her tits out in public I used to BF in public all the time, don't think anyone can tell to be honest and if they look at you strangely flash them a nipple or the evil eye

Just had a lovely bath with a glass of wine styled my Jackson 5 bush into a cute landing strip to try and tempt OH, only thing is he might need to lift my jelly belly to be able to see it

Mouse. I was going to day the same as g... dog spit. Mmm.

So... Ted had slept a grand total of about 6 hrs today. He has been well past sleepy stage since about 9am. He's now finally asleep and in his crib. How long for though? I just had a bath. Was ace. I smell nice. Trench tits and all.

Going to a wedding tomorrow... just the evening do... if I can BS bothered. Its an hour away and there's no buffet! No ruddy buffet! Just bacon sandwiches and chips. Yuk.

Today I asked oh to grab me a snack. He got me; a cheese and coleslaw sandwich, beef monster munch, a krispy creme and full fat coke. Naughty! Then we had lovely garlic and herb stuffed pasta about 30 mins later. Is it bad that I'm still hungry?
