Dog: How much does it cost?

Looking at the costing of dogs, how much do I need in mind?

Insurance
Food
Vaccinations
Accessories
Grooming
Anything else?

Thank you XX

Depends on where you are based.

Uk - you can get good insurance companys for one dog without having to pay out full wack on the best. Although I only go with petplan and choose the middle (Silver) cover which is £25 a month for a Boxer dog. It all depends on the breed, age, whether they are neutered, vac'd etc.

Grooming is nothing if you go fo a short breed dog, if you go for a little Lapso type dog we would get our clipped twice a year in the summer time.

Feeding - you can get good quality complete dry foods which cost next to nothing. As long as the dog has no digestion issues and is not on a special diet it's so cheap.

Vaccinations should be around £40 for the initial puppy course then around £15 a year for the booster.

Worming and de-flea treatment will be around £10 a month - Again depending on the size of the dog.

I think one dog is basically cheap, as long as you can afford the insurrance you shouldn't have many worrys

Insurance i dont have but wish I did as my dog broke her leg and cost us £1k to get fixed so I recommend insurance. few quid a month I thinhk.

Food is cheap enough I get tesco brand and whatever is on offer like £3 a week she dosnt eat dried stuff hates it.

grooming that you can do yourself, most groomers here wont take large dogs so we have to do ours.

Vaccoinations I cant remember it was that long ago but one off payments.

It dosnt cost that much to keep a dog alive but when something goes wrong they are walking vet bills. Depending on what breed you get also.

I have 2 cats to, cheap enough,.
