Tear in anus + problem to empty bladder ruining my life (tmi)

Ok so I have a tear in my anus and it is ruining my life I went to the doctors that have me numbing cream but I got fed up of using it all the time and not being able to poo properly as it feels like I'm passing a pinecone/cactus
It bleeds and I literally have to "breathe though it" every time I go and I'm scared to go cuz I know it will split back open :'(

Also I have to push my pee out at the end and my bladder still only feels 95% empty
Has any1 else got this?

I am wondering if that is what I'm experiencing, pooing feels like passing pinecones! I seriously put off going to the toilet because it hurts and the bleeding is a bit terrifying.

Prune juice! Seems to make it slide out a bit more. Didn't really find either stool softeners doing the trick. Have also been taking Senna tablets.

Am also having bleeding after pooing so am going to ask the doctor exactly what it is.

Check with the bladder that there isn't a UTI. I have been feeling a bit like I haven't emptied by bladder properly and it reminds me of having a UTI.

Here's hoping we all get through this quickly!

I had this problem with peeing, only for the first 8 weeks I couldn't get a drop out without pushing the whole time. It has gradually got better though and now I can go on my own which is such a relief. The peeing will get better - the hospital told me it can be caused by nerve damage during delivery and it takes a while to heal. No one ever mentioned a prolapsed bladder to me so I really hope it was just a nerve problem

I was told to double void - so go as much as you can without pushing, then stand up for 10 seconds or so and then try to go again. It works and most of the time I was able to get more out without the pushing (mostly)

My bladder is the same, and was told by midwives it will empty properly on its own eventually it just needs a rest from the labour.. they also advised to goto the toilet more often even if i didnt need to go, because if your bladder retains a lot you are prone to urine and kidney infections.. as for the tear, have you tried Lactolose? You can buy it from the chemist and it has no taste, you just mix a tablespoon into some juice, i was on iron tablets when aidan was born and this helped soften bowel movements a lot! x x x

i am 12 weeks PP and had a 4th degree tear right up through my anus. the first 2 months were hell! the stitches ripped through by 1 week PP. i'd cry everytime i had to poo and if out i wouldnt be able to hold it in as i was taking 2 stool softeners a day. i went to the doctor at 5 weeks PP and she put silver nitrate on it which made me scream, but in the end helped it heal from the inside out. it is still a tiny bit open, but i can take a normal poop without crying now and no more stool softeners. it takes time, but it does get better!

I had a couple of first degree tears in my anus after I gave birth a few years ago, neosporin helped almost immediately. I highly recommend it for minor tears
