back to normal?

So my question is how long before we're back to normal down there??
me and OH had attempted sex last week and i was perfectly fine but OH jsut couldnt get into it, he commented on how i wasnt as tight anymore and its off putting.... great way to make me feel better about my body aye!
I had a second degree episiotomy and its healed now so i know its not that...but how long before thing down there go back to normal or am i just unfortunate and its not gonna go back to normal. OH has insisted we dont have sex until im fully healed...so not only am i sexually frustrated i feel not good enough for him anymore and even though i've told him how i feel its just not getting through and he seems to be able to turn it all back onto me making me think im being stupid...hes lovely but ruthlessly truthful.

I had an episiotomy and i'm now 8 months post partum. I have to keep doing my pelvic floor exercises in order to feel toned down there. I haven't gone back to normal and it is a bit depressing but my husband never says anything and when i ask him how it feels he says "like heaven" . Just keep doing your pelvic floor exercises but it needs to be ongoing to feel the results.
Its also early days for you so don't worry too much
I'd love to see a man go through what we've been through and then take critisism off us

good luck

With a 2nd degree tear it took me about 2 weeks to feel unswollen and normal. Bleeding tapered off by 4 weeks

I had my little boy on the 9th aswell and me and OH had sex 3 weeks 2 days after, without lube, i had to keep reminding my OH to be gentle. It takes time and does get easier :-) my OH said its different but better different, unless his saying that so it doesnt hurt my feelings lol! And yes i agree they wouldn't be able to go through what we went through! xx

OMG i can't believe you ladies have been able to DTD so soon! i think we tried 8 weeks pp, and i didn't really feel anything (i also had episiotomy- forceps delivery) then after that it got worse for a while as my scar took ages to heal so i was still having painful sex 6 months pp, then it started to get better and now its better than before!
I must say though I had ALOT of pp problems with pelvic floor (i couldn't stand for 2 hours at a time still at 8 months pp) and had alot of scar tissue so i'm sure for you ladies it will be back to normal in no time x

We tried at 4 weeks and it felt OK but like something was pulling on one side so we stopped. A few weeks later and we havent really tried again yet, Im still bleeding and it bothers me, and LO barely sleeps but for a moment not on me.

Well we tried again yesterday and this time it actually worked and didnt hurt. I am a paranoid mama though so it almost killed me to not have LO in sight for that amount of time. Im still bleeding though and that bothers me even though its not much flow.
