OH and I have always been super intimate, having sex (at least once) everyday before and up until the day before my elective C/S date. We got up to day 10 post-C-section and DTD... I'm wondering what damage I might have caused (if any?) because I was never told not to have sex for any certain amount of time while I was in hospital or anything so I thought to take it as a "do it when you're ready" kinda thing. I was told my the MW at my last post-natal appointment with her that I could resume having sex when I've spoken to my GP about contraception at my 6 week check... I didn't dare tell her we already had been having sex and have done 4 times so far (C-section was 29/03/12 - 2 weeks yesterday!)

I've had no more bleeding than usual (lochia has pretty much just been spotting) and no pain other than feeling like a virgin when he goes in (TMI ) but other than that I feel fine and just can't wait to be intimate with him again, but I'm scared I'll do some damage now after the MW saying that. We've used a condom each time as I am aware of possible infection.

How long did YOU wait?

we waited around 4 weeks, I was told resume my sex life when I felt ready to, I was the horny one not my hubby lol. he was more worried about hurting me than me. as far as damage is concerned i dont know as im 3 months PP and okay, but my scar still hurts and I get pains every so often when I over do it (like cleaning, dancing, walking etc). sex will be different than your used to but I wouldnt worry too much
