How long did you wait to try again?

I lost my daughter in April due to incompetent cervix & my dr said to wait 6-12 months but I'm sooo impatient. How long did everyone wait to try again & how far were you with your loss?

I am so sorry for your loss

Mine was an early loss, and I wanted to try again right away.

Did your doctor say if there is a physical reason you shouldn't try when you felt ready? Sometimes they advise you to wait for emotional healing. I hope you get the all clear very soon

Good luck xxoo

So sorry for your loss. I had a mmc at 11 weeks (baby was 9 weeks). I just had AF two weeks ago - 4 weeks after my d&c. I"m going to wait till this cycle is over until I try again. Main reason is that I have long cycles due to pcos - I'm on CD22 today and no ovulation yet! I think I'll have to go on Clomid again in order to conceive, which I plan to start when I get my next AF, God willing.

Sorry for your loss. We lost ours last year at 8 weeks, baby was at 5.5 weeks. We started trying again the very next cycle and it took us a year to get pregnant again. Whatever feels right for you is what you should do if you are ready go for it!

We started trying right away, but I suspect that the guideline may be more because of what caused the loss. I would talk with your Dr. to be sure. I conceived on my 3rd cycle after my mc.

Hi there, so sorry for your loss. I lost my twin boys at 20 wks and just had my follow-up yesterday. The consultant thought it was due to IC which allowed strep B to track in and break the membranes. He thought it was just because of twin pregnancy but would keep a close eye on me in any future pregnancies. Anyway, my point was going to be that he has tiold me that there is no medical evidence regarding waiting to conceive again and after a loss at 20wks then 2 months out from delivery should be plenty of time for recovery before trying again. He said longer than this would only be for emotional reasons. Hope that helps xxx

I had my 7w+1 mmc in February and waited a few AF cycles before trying again. I wanted to be convinced that my body knew how to go back to normal. (Was my 1st pregnancy and wasn't sure how this messed up body of mine would work...)

We got our in August, conceived in July.
